Conservative support is plummeting in the wake of the Speech from the Throne. During the election, ballot support for the frontrunning parties was a dead heat, currently the Liberals lead by 10 percentage points. Liberal Leader Mark Carney is opening up a 25-point advantage over Pierre Poilievre as the person Canadians would prefer as Prime Minister.
Concern about Trump/US relations has been on the decline over the past four weeks weeks as issues like jobs/the economy and healthcare are on the rise.

Ballot – The latest Nanos federal ballot tracking has the Liberals at 42.6 per cent, followed by the Conservatives at 32.8 per cent, the NDP at 12.0 per cent, the BQ at 6.5 per cent, the Greens at 3.9 per cent and the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) at 1.3 per cent.
Nanos Party Power Index – The Nanos Index which is a composite of a series of measures including ballot and leadership impressions has the Liberals at 61.2 points, followed by the Conservatives at 46.9 points, the NDP with 31.1 points, the Greens 27.1 points, the People’s Party 20.0 points and the BQ 38.1 points (QC only).
Preferred Prime Minister – Nanos tracking has Carney as the preferred choice as PM at 50.6 per cent of Canadians followed by Poilievre (26.1%), Davies (3.0%), May (2.8%) and Bernier (1.8%). Thirteen per cent of Canadians were unsure whom they preferred.
